ISBA YLD Board Member, Marie Sarantakis, a family law practitioner in Chicago and surrounding suburbs, sits down with renowned author and family law practitioner Gunnar Gitlin to discuss his treatise in Illinois divorce law. Mr. Gitlin shares his experiences as a divorce attorney and provides tips for new lawyers. 

Marie Sarantakis recently authored an article on how to use social media evidence in the courtroom for Illinois divorce cases. The article was featured on the cover of the January 2020 DCBA Brief | Journal of the DuPage County Bar Association.

Ms. Sarantakis hosted a workshop entitled "Developing an Action Plan to Meet and Exceed Your Objectives". Her interactive discussion helped students visualize their purpose, develop an action plan, and refine their practical skill set to meet their goals. 

Marie Sarantakis has joined the American Academy for Certified Financial Litigators (“AACFL”) and has earned distinction as a Certified Financial Litigator (CFL™).   

AACFL provides specialized training to attorneys handling complex financial matters that often arise during high net worth divorce matters.
